GoSports Foundation

GoSports Foundation is a not-for-profit trust established in 2008 working towards providing career support, funding and access to Sports Science expertise to some of India’s top emerging and elite athletes, competing in Olympic and Paralympic disciplines. Joined by India’s only individual Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra, former Indian cricket captain Rahul Dravid and All England Badminton Champion Pullela Gopichand on their Board of Advisors, and former Indian physiotherapist John Gloster as Head of Sports Science, their mission to Professionalise Indian Sport is premised on the belief that sporting champions are created when the right talent gets the right support at the right time.

The Foundation works with some of India’s top junior Olympic and Paralympic talent, through their athlete scholarships and knowledge building programmes. Some of the athletes who have come through their programmes are: Olympic gymnast Dipa Karmakar, shuttler and Olympic quarterfinalist Kidambi Srikanth, javelin thrower and Paralympic gold medallist Devendra Jhajharia, silver medallist Deepa Malik, and bronze medallist Varun Singh Bhati. The foundation currently supports 93 athletes across Olympic and Paralympic sports.
